chasing behind, she begged him to stop
for what was her way without his will?
she'd bent and twisted her path to his
her thoughts thought first what he would think
she tried to view the world through his eyes
and thus, became what she thought he'd prize
but, alas! he loathed disguise
and away he went to live his life
and she no longer knew her size
