Shelter me
from what i feel
so that i don't love
and i don't cry
no joy, no pain,
no in-betweens
no nothing
but me
and me
being nothing
but air-
driven
glass machine--
no, not glass,
but neither plastic.
Make steel of
me
cold steel
white steel
blind steel
i don't feel
God, (of
steel)
make me air-
driven
make me non-
pensive
non-existant-
soul
God, (whom i, glass,
followed)
shatter me
and rebuild me
in metal.
Shelter me
from what i feel
