i felt compelled to hate you
once you opened your eyes
i felt compelled to reach out
and wring your little neck
to make you cry and cry
like you had done to me
to make you think you'd die
to force you down and see
i remembered your hurtful words
the selfishness you showed
the way that you used me
to be cooler and be cold
i wanted so to tell you
all that you did wrong
to make you see the scars you caused
to show you i was strong
i wanted to scream back at you
for all the times i'd been silent
i wanted to say "well then, fuck you!"
i wanted to be violent
i would have made you swallow it
all the pain you fed me
i would have proven how wrong you were
how much you were below me
i felt compelled to hate you
to break your soul apart
but instead i let you speak again
and tear my stupid heart
