sweet mockingbird sing me your cheap mocking words
catch the flak as i implode

please don't forget me

strike me quick, no thats too long and my hearts ticking like a bomb
stuck in the rain

what a song

you might forget me

slow down just a minute and check this wrecking ball

no

just leave me on the floor
counting the steps you take as you tango out my door
flee the scene let me scream

please don't forget me

this is how i come undone, so now here comes the fun
and how did this one on one become only one

please, can you tell me....

strike, set me to light
don't let me fight

because i'll remember

choking on the end, cahlk it up
and let it send me rolling end over end

i cant forget her

tears have stained the floor the same way they've done before today and in some infectious way

i remember

but the things that come to mind break me down and make me blind
in every way she was too kind
i don't deserve her

i won't forget her

please don't forget me

...

if i am perfect for you then why am i alone again
maybe my imperfection is my perfection and with that infection within detection this inspection needs correction, to undertake this mistake you need to let go

let your wish come true

you wished that you had never come into my life

well....that makes me feel a fuck-load better

tears do no good

waiting does little more

but i want to
...no you don't...
yeah, io really think i do

i wish...really wish i knew what the outcome of this was going to be
i think i already do

seeds of doubt have grown and cracked the foundations of us and youre no longer sure of yourself

so i'll take the shaft and fall to the past

do i seem calm?

it's just an act
as i get a great view of your back
i'm sick of being beat down by this crap

yes it affects me

that last line really hit me hard...it's so easy to pretend otherwise...and by the time i realize, well, it's usually too late...i hope you're better at realizing your emotions than i am... ~lauren~

Do you remember when I told you that some of the things you write, they are so fast-paced that if you read them as a whole and at that pace, they're just a masterpieceblur.. but when you take them apart, they become each their own piece of artistic.

..that's what I meant.. I keep steady with your pace.. and when you throw this at me.. it feels like I've been hit, and I have to catch my breath again.. slowing everything down.. it's like putting time on slow motion..

This piece has left me at a loss, since you've posted it.. I weep at the sight of the word tears.. and blink awkwardly at your inquisitions.. it's like a ticket into your mind.. overwhelming.. and just.. almost too much.

..but I come back to it often, for that reason.. and there's a type of inconsistent melody here that strikes me beautiful.. these words play music in my head, and it comes back to me in times of half-awareness.."please don't forget me".. damn.
