As sunshine fades my ghosts haunt me
They won't be disregarded or turned away
The mind won't forget the evil done to me
It colors what I say and do
I'm a slave to its nightly insanity
It burns it all away
Empty and barren inside
All that is left is insanity

No one around who cares
No white knight to run to
So dark and overwhelming
Don't see the sun on the horizon
Only stormy dark skies
Trapped in the insanity
Drowning slowly in loneliness
Through the darkness the lightning flows

Praying for it to be done
Cruel world keeping me down
Living in a house of glass
Not the only one
We're supposed to find love
The sky won't tell me where
My ghosts continue to haunt me
