Okay, so heres the plan: I'm writing a story... all based on one woman who i've had rolling around in my head for the last 2 months or so... I'm about to post her story, description, whatever... her introduction if you must... This is going to be my big project and I might need some help... after reading this if you have any ideas... I need names, if you have any story line ideas or suggestions, throw them in a dpmail... If you have anything at all... throw it in a dpmail and shoot it over to me... Critisism... whether positive or negative, if you see any flaws, let me know... if you read this shit, you better comment on it... here goes:
Character 1:
Gloria Miles
Flipping open her cigarette pack she peers inside. "Six" she grumbles, "That should last me till 2:00". It's now midnight and shes driving her usual route from work to Charlie's Bar, her wind-down spot of choice. They all know her there as Shen. Soon enough shes on her last right turn onto Shelby Road where the bar is located mid-way to the dead-end. As an accountant at a big law firm she shouldn't even be in this place. Still she gets out of her brand new Escalade. She pulls the keys from the ignition and starts to lock it. "What the hell" she says to herself, "If they want in they may as well go through the door rather than me replacing a windshield". She walks to the door. Once inside the bartender greets her with a smile and a friendly hello. She takes her usual seat in the corner and orders a drink.
"Just a Budweiser will do, Max" she says.
Max places the bottle of Bud in front of her. She pulls it to her lips and takes a sip.
"That stuff is bad for your figure." Max calls out from the other end of the bar.
"Like you should talk, fatass." is her reply.
Max just chuckles and continues wiping the bar. She pulls an ashtray down from a spot two chairs away. Gloria pulls the cigarette (Number 6) from the pack and places it between her lips. "Come sweet cancer" she tells herself.
At the age of twenty-four she graduated college with honors at U of NY at Binghamton. Right away she'd managed to land a job only a few levels below the one shes slaving away at now. Now a very well-off thirty one year old whose dreams floated away in a cloud of dust long ago. It all came and went for her... Love, money, happiness... Her charm was even taking a turn for the worst. Now all she had was her pride, and then her looks. Here she was sitting in Charlie's Bar.. "What a life" she thought.
