"choices always were a problem for you, what you need is someone strong to guide you.......like me"

reasoning bloomed...
like the half-dead light of Polaris
blossoming in the angelic angle of the earth
shaded sun...

"deaf and blind and dumb and born to follow"

why is fear so hard to give up???
when faith is punctured
by doubt
it causes a chilling slow leak
of deserved smiles
spraying hollow laughter from abysmal eyes
blinded by minute blessings

"if you want to get your soul to heaven, trust in me, now
don't you judge or question"

the answer lies within us...

many times
re(pressed for time)
ticking counter-clockwise
with hands of lies

burying the simple question...
under selfish intention...
feeling defeated by temptation...

not using weapons we're equipped with
not because we don't know how
because we're comfortable with what we see
and even more uncomfortable
speaking to ourselves
about what is
unseen

"Jesus Christ, why don't you come save my life now
open my eyes, blind me with your light now"

forgetting what our reflection looks like
(as it's looking away)

as if it'll change in this
unchanging world

what we are is what's in our hearts

will you relinquish yourself and trust in
the power of love???
or...
will you suffer for eternity for your
love of power???
