as i graciously glide
underneath
overshadowed
whimpers
forecasted
in timid
Moonsprays

now dousing
the dwindling day
in fermented light
aged to perfection
in shineracks
that were
imported from
the Dark Side Of The Sunwaves

crashing
intensly against
cotton cliffs
to the rhythm of
eardrums

silencing
mute
constellations

preparing for
Spacequakes
to cease
the rupturing
movements
that echo
through vast
regions of
Gravity

electricuted
by the aftershocks
blanketing the
Galaxy with
high voltage
lightning and still
able to maintain
supporting each
lifeform...

to swim
weightlessly
in Opaque Oceans

where one can only
imagine would
co-exist in
a society..

of
Cometpools
that are common
as they drift
alongside
Solar School Busses
transporting
toddler gasses
to learning centers

on fascinating
neon freeways
made from
Nebulasphalt
with-holding
traffic in
mass quanities

distracted
by the bland
billboards

advertising
Angel Faith Towers)
some highrise
for the rich to
glamerously gloat
in...

attempting
to steal
business
away from
the rundown
but popular
Fallen Angel Tavern)
known for
the cheap
intoxicating
pints of
highly
hallucinagenic
tangible trails
of tears
shed...

from exploded
Novas patiently
fished from the
bottomless wells
of bubbling
Blackholes

on the verge
of being tapped out

until some vagrant star
suggested how
to water the drink down
with....

saline
stolen
from
Saturn's Rings
crevices

but losing
none of the
potency

not to mention
the Gold Mine
of addictive
fabled forcefed
fluids
freezing
the feathers of
lost
Newborn Souls
in flight

hyperventilating
into paper mache craters
to calm them a bit

seen's how
they couldn't
explain how you
could fall asleep
in a daydream

but also

stand awake
in sleepwalking
scenes of an all
night vision

found
at the
Luminous Library
in the Life section
defining moments
you can't deny

about coming to
terms with the Death
of your human body

as if the wings weren't
a dead giveaway

I agree with phant. The images were amazing. You've truly outdone yourself with this one Chris.

Instant favorite. Beautiful images. The beginning was a bit rocky, but once I got into it, it sunk its teeth in and wouldn't let go. I love the words you make up, too; "nebulasphalt" was particularly clever.

first, the word "Spacequakes" just rocks. :) This read like a wild journey into the psyche, looking both in and out... I particularly liked the third-last stanza; great image, and the almost irreverent feel of the conclusion was great also. Excellent ride
