faltering feathers dispose the disguise
of another forked tounge demon
slitting throats with it's razor-edged
spade shape burning tail
spraying lifes energy into hailstorms
falling upward into innocent
baby blue tint with a hint of amethyst
colored fluffy textured
clouds shadowing the last moonlit
night in Eden before the
guide in the darkness starts to
drip collected sins blood

on,in,and around
unearned
halos

angels glide down with heavens replies
giving us choice and reason
to fight this war against the hissing dead
joining our souls to prevail
as we journey across volcanic tides to shores
storing our wings complacent
within envelopes on shelves that twist
and wring out pain endured
from thoughtless words that were spit
into hearts through ears that see
prophecies coming correct sticking like glue
damning humanity causing a flood

on,in,and around
unearned
halos

relaying pleas for forgiveness

when we should say
"Thank You"

smile to the sky and
surrender

wonderful write! "unearned halos" - excellently said... love the format and feeling of this; conclusion strong yet gentle... and very clever, subtle rhymescheme. just great stuff, sire. :)
