+--+

Goodnight.

And before late
it has begun.

+--+

An unnerving epic
of meddled illusions
portrayed though
blackened windows.

Paradise, paradox
pleasure and prophecy.

What grand displays
of cruelty and deceit
sewn into the very
fabric of life and death.

Their meaning
beyond grasp
as sand through
open fingers.

Blowing far and fast
in the euphoric discord
of the angel's decay.

+--+

Daylight breaks
as blackened windows
fade back to grey.

And before dawn
it is done.

Stylistically dramatic - each word is an emphasis in itself - personally haunting, I contextualise meaning in the spaces between and come to a place of grief - yet dawn comes...that is all one can hope for...

this really is very beautiful..and like kim said, unique..you have an interesting and wonderful way of writing. "What grand displays of cruelty and deceit sewn into the very fabric of life and death." magnificent.

Your unique style shines through as always. "their meaning beyond grasp as sand through open fingers", I loved that line. Indeed chilling work. It's an absolute pleasure to see you post again. Very articulately done, I enjoyed this.

"An unnerving epic of meddled illusions portrayed though blackened windows." there's a chill in these words.
