what exactly am i
trying to prove
anymore

i could
i know
i should
be my own

but i wait for you

i
(spite)
placed myself
(again)
in this

a pouty
spoiled
little
protest

unblinking girl
waits for a move

stare

the failure to react is yours/mine
remain on the steady
(failure to choose)

even as you break it
i know it will end up being my fault
anyway
