the tourists ask me for photos
I represent nothing that i believe in

they prefer me posed before my
natural environment

covered in it is better -
newspapers and garbage

I lay
propped up against the wall
for them

I see dinosaurs in the distance
loading cargo onto watertrucks

the flashbulb begins to spot my eyes
and the dinosaurs are gone

the center of everything
is gone

they're waving money in my face
but I can't find it

I ask them please for cigarettes
they remind me that no one smokes anymore

before they blinded me - I saw the lizard girl
puffing away

god I'm a tired jester
giving a face to those who
can't make a fist

Mr. Capt, I have always purpled hearted your angles on personal experiences and things. To give in on occasion, to bend your very own laws for someone else, is for them to be washed by your kindness, maybe. Nice type. Daniel

I really enjoyed the offbeat flavour of this piece with its images that catch you offguard. I would love to see this given to Black Francis to write a Pixies tune with. Write on..
