Talk lively.

like you’ve ridden
every wave

like the break in
my spine couldn’t
teach me a lesson.

Walk sideways.

like the tension
doesn’t disturb you

like the bones will
heal and posture
is more important.

Rest easy.

like the gap between
time and space is
eternal

like I won’t crack
anymore ribs when
I crush you.

I'm pleased as all hell that you still write. Glitter and gleam, babygirl.

Unsettling, uneasy -- very nicely presented, with a sudden shock at the end... well done! Thanks.

"like the break in my spine couldn’t teach me a lesson." Epic lines there. This was like a silent massacre, except that last line which was a swift kick in the balls.

Extremely thought provoking. The vagueness is intriguing and the similes are well put. Nice work.
