and.
i am
solitary.
confined.
tight to
the ribbons
like decoupage
glass.
crumbling
like stumbling
words
written
on asphalt.
and you ask
me to slow down
as if
life is worth
winning over.
and i question
your judgment.
i am.
the
abrasions
hemorrhaging
your heart.
bleeding
sapphire
because we don’t know how
to love anymore.
fallen.
like the
water dripping
from our lips,
sipping
some
goblet of
life.
and i am.
not awed.
not falling with
the presence of
whatever.
writing.
spilling.
stories
from granite
fingers,
not quite
capable of
destruction..
but
once i
won you over.
and
you cried
your heart out.
