Night
With the wind
At our backs
Nicotine fluorescent
In the sky

Drifting slowly
Remembering
The sounds
Of heartache

Eyes
Partial
To the pavement

Hands
Clenching
Warmth
And the
Waves of
How miserable
We’ve become

Grasping
Gasping
Memories

I take
The shape
Of the moon
Turning
Slightly
To
Disappear
Until
Tomorrow.
