My cancer is widespread
Cell-to-Cell
(Ashes-to-Ashes)

Can you see the pain?
My remodeled shame...

I failed the test of my desire
A tainted fruit consumed,
A bushel to go-
Complete with myrrh and frankincense
Served on a shimmering plater of gold,

I have sinned
To my non-existent Lord
To my pre-existing Fate
I pray...

Make vivid this vision
this action
That tarnished my soul

My God of disgrace
Fail me once more

needless to say, this is heavy. ...should i read this with a closed mind, it would trouble my heart. however, from a poet's perspective, it's wonderful.

This is really heartfelt and it's like you're expecting the cold shoulder, saddening, but you feel like you deserve it in a way, at least that's what I got from it. I liked it.
