She goes about her day
Like it's easy to push every emotion down
She smiles at everyone
Like she doesn't secretly frown
She walks down the street
Like no one's around
She tries to block out her emotions
Like her conscience has no sound
And she goes about her day
Like she still has hope
But when it's all over
She still can't cope
So she sits in her room
As tears pour out
She looks into her mirror
Full of self-doubt
She turns out her light
And stumbles to bed
She drifts off to sleep
And dreams of red
The morning keeps coming
And she does it all over again
Trapped in this life
That she can never win
