Superficialities,
Material possessions,
These make the world go 'round.
How you look,
What you do,
Everything I say is true,
Wants and needs soon become the same.
Strips of paper,
Corrupt,
They change,
These people who used to have it all.

So true. Money really isn't everything. In fact, it's not even half the deal. Great title and sentiment :) -Carl

Although the ending is abit blurry for me (meaning i don't really get what ur trying to say) i love the first part. Don't change the poem though just cuz i don't get it. Like u said, basic and emotional. Love and hate.

I'm trying to portray that although money to some people is everything, once they get it they realise how much they've sacrificed. If there's a way to make that more clear, I would love to hear it.

i like this...i didn't really find the end blurry...but the word green would help...but from your profile you seem to be from canada...so i guess that wouldn't really work....sorry i couldn't help more...this poem is sadly too true...but i like it...~YeSt
