I look, like waving the wisps of cobwebs from my eyes
I listen, seeking to brush away the threads of lies
I inhale breaths of what I hope is cleansing air
I reach out and pray someone is there
I sit for hours
and the rain is pouring down
and I wonder where's the beautiful
I thought my soul had found
I cry, like raindrops from the storms I used to love
I scream, for dreams I'm undeserving of
I sigh, expelling tainted breath
I pray for more than living out my death
I sit for days
and the rain keeps screaming down
and I wonder where's the beautiful
I thought my soul had found
I close my eyes, like a child afraid of light
I beg my ears to hear no further of this fight
I suck in gasping breaths of sickly sweet perfume
I reach out to feel the cold walls of this tomb
I sat for life
and the rain kept falling down
and I never saw the beautiful
I thought my soul had found
