If I were the ocean
not another wave would crash
or if I were a star
my light would no more flash

If I were the wind
the air would be deadly still
or if I were the rain
the lakes would no more fill

If I were the sun
the day would grow cold and grey
or if I were the moon
the dark of night would never fade

If I were a tree
my branches would hang so low
or if I were a seed
the plant would cease to grow

If I were an island
I would sink into the waters deep
and if I were a person
I would fold into eternal sleep

If I were anything
I would slowly cease to be
I would slip into forever
if I were anything but me

indeed we would all cease to be if we were anything but ourselves, for some of us we just have to figure out who we are

chilling is the word that came to me although it doesn't seem fitting. Awesome and such a ending, I did not forsee. I loved the simplisity and perfection of ideas.
