blue moon nights
so pretty out
picture perfect backdrop
without a doubt

cold night-fingers
breeze in your ear
chilling landscape
inspires fear

glass-still waters
crystallized death
mirrored masterpiece
frozen breath

one blinking star
caught in your eye
frosty tears
waiting to die

unyielding wood
burns bright white
pinch - still alive
survived this night

ashes and smoke
hot dirty breath
small price to pay
for outlasting Death

cold little heart
fists clenched tight
won't be long
till the next blue moon night.

Pretty cool cre, I like the short staccato lines, it gave the poem a neat lyrical quality; it sounds really good read aloud. Good images in there, too; that's something that I haven't seen a whole lot of yet on DP, though I havent been here long.

I only have one thing I don't like about that one, and it's incredibly picky. I have heard the glass-still waters line too many times, maybe consider a more unique description. Told you it was picky :)

Does this have anything to do with Once in a blue moon? No? Damnit...didn't think so. There goes all my dreams. Lovely write.
