folded hands
bended knee
if there's a god
forgive me please

sharpened knife
muscles tense
my own brand
of penitence

blood for blood
sin for sin
let me hurt
once again

may i feel
what i deserve
unbridled pain
without reserve

-----------------------

hands are bound
i'm on my knees
you know i want
what i need

singing whip
cry my pain
otherwise
it's all in vain

make me shudder
make me scream
it's even better
if i bleed

cause only blood
can make it right
i must atone
for all those nights

for all the hell
and evils done
i'm so sorry
i won't run

i'll face the chains
i'll be your slave
make me happy
be depraved

---------------------

folded hands
and body broken
i pray to god
accept this token

i've given pain
for innocence
my special brand
of penitence

my blood for theirs
my sins forgive
let me die
or let me live

folded hands
and bended knee
if there's a god
forgive me please

----------------

Also, this sort of made me think of what jesus was thinking or feeling..or what they've led us all to believe he was thinking, or trying to accomplish/prove..not sure if you meant it to be that.

Mmmm... really like how this poem flows, reading it. Reminds me of Madonna's "only the one who hurts you can make you feel better... only the one who inflicts the pain can take it away". I know the feelings well that you've conveyed.
