I have hated you.
And I have screamed.
I've been so angry at how you
captivated all my dreams.
I've been so mad . . .
But tonight, all I can seem to do
Is cry
Tears trace your life past my smiles
And my soul dies
I've died so many times . . .
I am filled with sorrow
And my heart aches
Have you seen the moon tonight?
It's more beautiful than I have words to say
Do you know I look at beauty
and I slowly break . . .
Music fills my ears
While rain engulfs my sight
I can't explain the pain I feel
Tonight . . .
I am so sad . . .
I have loved you
You were the shining stars
That dimpled my velvet sky
But now you're so far
So far . . .
Your hands touched a miracle
A dream of dazzled form
You squeezed the life from something more
Than all you'd seen before
And all you'll ever know . . .
I have hated you
In my dreams and when I wake
But now you must set sail
You've taken all you'll take
For I will say good bye . . .
Good bye.
