for we can barely bear to be
it's something more that I know
than you may ever see
and you will not know the breaking
or breath behind your ear
speaks of something in us waking
I sense | your | fear
and you so seldom strive to see
our screaming exhalation
undulating dreams beneath the ashen trees
path of leaves and crashing blackened skies
is it truly terror teeming
we see crawling in your eyes
where we may barely dare to dream
for senses brimming with the breathing
crackling dripping always more than you see
for we know and we touch
the core the shattering existence
in one world and insomuch
that we can barely bear to be
something more that I know
for we were always and always we will be.
