Fourteen years you had your way
Lives lived and lost in the rise of a day
Fourteen suns blazed your deadly inquisitions
Blinded eyes cried at ungodly impositions
Fourteen chairs crafted cherry wooden prisons
As a teacher of uneagers you were surprisingly efficient
Fourteen flames charring snake bitten heels
Burning and branding with unrelenting steel
Fourteen screams crushed inside your fatal fingers
Nights like death find you still and stealthy linger
Fourteen souls you swallowed and digested
Fourteen strong though they cried and they protested
Fourteen tears wept in silent revelations
As the Fourteen lost learned to be their own salvation

_____ __ _

Fourteen wishes on blown out birthday candles
Smoky spirals rise above a new kind of scandal
Burning bits of prisons bobbing in a bleeding lake
Fourteen silent killers out of innocents you made
"Behind closed doors" you always used to say
So behind closed doors, the Fourteen had their day.
