you ask if I am having fun
staring onto the night sky
as if it weren't something beautiful
as if I can't see something there...
you wonder how I could get
so much enjoyment from staring into
a sea of dark blue dotted with the
color of the stars
with the full moon blazing
in all it's madness...
can't you see it?
hiding between the stars
trying to remind us
of who we are
the peacefulness
of our night sky
with silver lined
clouds silently
floating by
a permanent painting
set in motion
constantly changing
beauty overflowing
something serene and wonderful to look at
in this world full of chaos and ugliness
I could escape for hours
watching the sun set over
these mountain peaks
awaiting the sweet silent
darkness of our night sky
where the sun can
no longer scorch my eyes...
I could lie and stare
into these stars and shapes
forgetting for a moment
about this life full of hate
getting lost in the light
that the darkness creates..
here I can see the future, our dreams
everything is so much more clear to me
staring into this enchanting night sky
it's times like this when know where the answer lies
