Cherry blossoms
explode
pink
brilliant with life
bustling in spring
days
with glorious
bright arms
praising the sun’s
rays
their God
Ra in his magnificence
Hazy mornings
cool
still waking
from winter’s
slumber
blinking dreary
eyes
still crying tearful
dewy nights
Heat flashes
in...
out...
a flickering
lightbulb
tap
tap
Rains patter
down
and the Earth
soaks up the nourishment
a parched desert wanderer
pink turns into green
alive
Ra has taken
hold
full in reign
his wrath known
in midday
gentled into
night
until the
Earth is scorched
brown
once again.
