Storm rising
seas surging
angry gusts blowing forth
and I’m caught up in it

drenched, dreary,
destitute, dreaming
damned to reality

Tossed and flailing
upon the wind
torn limb from limb
to stand in front of you
whole again

battered, bruised,
broken, beaten,
burned into submission

Rising forth
from the ashes
clichéd in tear-stained
memories erased
misery receding
leaving me feeling

Free
Alone
Un-whole
Unholy
Renewed
Refreshed
Me again
Changed

never the same

Standing on my own two feet
I sway
in the breeze
allowing it to bend me
to its will
and I open my sails
to be carried away.

It is always nice to see you wend your way back here to lay down your quilts of eloquence, sail away my dear so long as you come back bearing pearls of wisdom and many many stories :)

It was so refreshing to read short words in a matter of seconds that create such a warm life filled feeling inside. :)

Wow! This was fantastic. The swaying lines of self recognition and change that feed and define our lives.. you've brought it together wonderfully. I felt a definite hope in this. ~b
