Winds run across
the sahara
Rippling the perfect
smoothness
Creating waves
in the earth

colored sky

As daybreak cracks
open the dome
And rays of
gold and blue
Shine through

And desert turns to sea

Clouds become the caps
On waves
Dissipating into calm
Dimming into ink
And dripping with

Promises

Pinpricks of
Tomorrow
Running from
Land
To sea
To abyss
And air

Gossamer
There and
not

Gazing every toward
A goal attainable
intangible

Trying to break free.
