Eyes
gaze intently
upon wings immobile
for just this moment
colors bleed together
forming a tapestry
art captured in nature
reflected in young
eyes.

Lips
tilt up in small smile
captivated by such delicate
beauty as rays of light
shine through petal soft
gossamer, veins showing through
as wings take flight
and a belly laugh is
emitted from sweet
lips.

Nose
quirked in waiting
to partake of the aroma
that was so closely guarded
just moments before
bending down to inhale
the heady scent of fresh
flowers grown in wild field
filling and delighting the young
nose.

Hands
reach to grasp the treasure
holding close in wonderment
the prize found hidden
under wings, such a ruse
amazed to find such an abundant
amount of gifts to give
held tight and secure in small
hands.

Ears
perk up at the sound
of a symphony played from
tree tops, composers hidden
from sight
she flies to deposit her offering
rushing wind clear in her
ears.

Her child
wings poised to take flight
and discover the riches
of the world that is waiting
to offer itself to
her child.
