Silence rains down
Around her
As the click
Fades
To leave the rush
Of pounding blood
In her ears

As her hands
Fill with tears
And her eyes stare
Into space
Blankly towards
The past

Wondering where
The decision was made
And how one could
Hate
The one they love

The torrent calms
The night is young
And wrong needs to be
Undone

Death has risen
To find new life
The eve
Of tomorrow has
Begun.

The tide recedes
New vision received
finally able to
Believe.

And the Banshee
Emerges
To avenge
The tears
Stolen from her eyes
And the screams
Echo in the night.
