the lies
disguise
the faces we wear
the voices we hear
the passion we care
nothing about

the stars fall
from the sky
with nary the
blink of an eye
because we choose
not to take note

and the clouds
weep down
disparate tears
upon us all
while we laugh
and dance
a jester's joke
not even realizing
what was took

we lay about
happy in our
so-called
lives
because that is our
god-given right

we're innocent
of the deeds
that others dare
create
because we know
not what it takes
to make it
right
we do not care
to look inside
to reach within

we would rather
continue to be
innocent as Sin.

The jesters joke is serious...it always is...theres things that should be clear as mud but people keep trying to wipe the mud away...just so they don't have to see it...Wistful and beautiful...

i like how the forces of nature are giving us profound messages, but we go on ignoring "because we know not what it takes to make it right"

Mmm, this was marvelous. The poetic form, matched by the underlying theme. Brilliant, such a sad truth though...
