I always said
she seemed to have
such an...

...old soul...

Peering into her
liquid gaze,
I saw not a

child

but one who
had really

lived!

She loved life
as I have never seen
another living being

do.

She understood
the meaning
of living in the

moment

perhaps because
she already knew
that a moment
was all she had...

...left...

A flash in the night
A twinkling star
A blink of an eye
was all that she was

granted

this time around
and knowing that,
still she laughed

until weary...

...she left.

I believe and feel this to be true as I read it, a sense of trust in the poet that there can be no debate that each word comes from the soul. But that is not the only importent thing while reading it.

I am left with thinking that she did the only thing that matters in life even if briefly. And the msg. is strong in that, it is to me. -Nadir-
