Gossamer wings
flitting higher
away from me
falling into
the sky
perilous journey
higher
dipping back towards
earth
and then gaining
again.
Gossamer wings
so delicate
fragile grace
barely able
to hold against
the nothing breeze
blowing
and yet
triumphant
fading
cannot reach
barely seen.
Gossamer wings
taking flight
on dreams
whims
and then becoming
a reality
as they land
daintily upon
my hand
caught
and then gone
slipping through
the cracks
of my fingers.
Gossamer wings
were they really here
or was it just my
imagining?
