Red
Red as a bleeding heart's
last dying breath
gasping, pleading
for release.
Red as your hair
in the rays of the sunset
russet locks falling sofly
covering your face.
Red as my love
burning for you
through veins screaming
seething in rage.
Red as my passion
need to save
and regret
singeing the past.
Red as my pain
crying tears
of my broken heart
shattered.
Redhot...
bloodred...
valentine...
baby mine.
seeing stars
seeing red
seeing you
beautiful you
gazing back at me
through the haze
of clouds drifting
off to brilliant
blue.
