Travelling the desert high road,
cracked ground hot beneath my feet
Sol beating down on me,
heat radiating in brilliant halo...
Sun God...
creating mirages in the distance,
showing me what could have been...
what never was...
in vivid desert tones.

Crashing falls..
my oasis..
purple boats
sailing on clouds
through lush greenery
and misting waters,
cooling my skin,
turned leather,
wetting the parchment
of my mind.

Demon's fingers grasp
through my hair
entanglement...
entangling dreams..
Fairy glitter
and pixie dust,
queens and jewels,
fantastic stories
my youth never heard
remembrances...
memories...
of false
visions and prophesies.

Floating in a dream
searching continually
for the shade of an ice
kingdom
to chill the burning thoughts
to finally find some solace
to stave off the demon's
eternal demands.

I've spent what an hour now contemplating...i'm utterly speechless, completely and utterly dumbfounded...You've made my day...I'll be back again for this, determined to comment objectively!

absolutely wonderful, ambrosia. i see it so vividly, as a movie, a collage of images fading from one to the next. i can't tell it all, but with the most honesty: i have seen so much wonder in every facat of this work. something to read over many times.
