Laughter in excited
groups.
Couples sway
to forgotten music.
Smoke curls
in streams through
charged air from
sweet smelling cigars.
Softening of voices,
hushed, absent.
Lights dim, room
empties, air clears.
Life has gone to sleep,
dreaming of you.

So tell me,
how does it feel?
This quietness,
this drowsiness
you instill as your
dark colors shadow
out the harsh rays
of Day and blanket
the world in dreams and
Shades of blue.

What a dreamland. It puts an image in my head much like that of a Friday the 13th movie, where the girl is asleep, only it's not Jason. Perhaps some Natural/Spiritual being which inflicts thoughts and dreams. I'm perplexed, this is some amazing imagery.

Reminded me at first of a poetry reading... The end sort of destroys that image and brings another of desolation and emptiness. I Enjoyed...
