hairy legged swedish girl
marxist rebel
madness unfurled

chinese woman dressed in white
mao's red scarf brigade have claimed
the night
buddhist's lily ways are swept away
[political prisoners as peasants]
capitalists sew crops that are nourished by red rain
ordered by the scarlet reign
of the bloody queen and king

pinochet broods, shackled to
the tears of the people

fascism and democracy
thrown into the wicked brew
mixed by three
to punish macbeth

hairy legged swedish girl
marxist rebel
madness unfurled
the moon, a camera's trick
nessie and big foot akin

so much white and black worn
to mourn the death
caused by perfect government's
plight…

freedom's eyes been set alight

thanks for the honest criticism! nobody gives it anymore! i agree about the ending, but in my poetry i try to be honest, and i felt that ending...so i kept it. what can i say? sometimes it works and sometimes it doesnt. :)

ahh, seems very interesting and incredibly wise. I'm not sure what exactly I get out of this, but something about it reminds me of Sylvia Plath, and that is really a good thing. .

Incredible and clever write. Well thought out and described, I have to agree with Liz, I wasn't really feeling the ending, nonetheless, this was an awesome write.

Very intelligent basis, obviously a subject you feel passionately about. It just feels a little jumbled. The ending isn't as powerful as I think it could be.
