im new, so i dont know if i should be saying this. but i was inspired none the less. this piece is aimed at no one.

The crown,
The crown?
What is the crown?
Acknowledge it
Worship it
Adore it
Hate it
Ignore it
It’s a figment
Of the imagination
A mirage
A hallucination
Despite the fronted image
There still lies the
Person behind
Be careful
Who you
Cross in rhyme
Be you decked with a crown
Or no more than a so called peasant
Be this dark poetry, or more so
Pleasant
There still lies the idea behind
Be careful when crossing
Darkened minds
No jewel will
Alter what I find
The crown
The crown?
What is the crown?
no gold will
change the
tainted
mind
Standing in front
Sneaking behind
It means what
You want it
It to mean
What you think
It to mean
Fights should
Not prevail
Amongst the home
Of saintly writers
We are artists,
Not fighters

again, aimed at no one. all i wanted to say was: people's poetry is treated equally despite the "crown." that creativity can not be measured by the "crown." even if it is an omen of hard work, we are still all equal on this kick ass website. the end. :)

Epic. I really like it. I'm surprised it took me so long to stumble upon this, but I'm glad I did.
