A wise man said "Taste the sun"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The little boy must taste the sun
His quest has begun-
With the sounds of guns
And the falling of bodies
Of people he once knew
The smell of scarlet blood lingers in the air
Sapphire eyes lay open in a stare
Laying in the field amongst the ice coated trees
Remembering the times now passed...
He could have said he loved her
He could have made it last
But now he talks to the trees of glass
He must shuts out the screams and the cries
The forest was his home...it knew all his lies
As his ears fade away
Hollow creaking sounds,
Remind him of times of dismay
As his feet submerge under the earth
He digs his toes into the soft soil
As the sun feeds him through his fingernails of leaves
The rain falls and freezes on his arms of branches
He can taste the sun
He is at peace now
The world has begun
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
He could have said he loved her
He could have made it last
Now he's a tree of glass...
Waiting to relive, times now passed...
