My Grandma...
My Grandpa called her mouse.

But she is a garden...
Filled with dragonflies, fireflies, and taste buds satisfied...
Filled with children taught with love, courage, and pride...
Filled with roses, orchids, and violets of blue...
Filled with summertime on the patio and Christmas wishes come true.
My Grandma...
My Grandpa called her mouse.

But she is a garden...
Filled with friends from Minnesota and Sweden...
From here at home, from Canada, and from England...
Filled with Cheetos and See’s Candy...
Filled with Crossword Puzzles and Jeopardy.

My Grandma...
My Grandpa called her mouse.

But she is a garden...
Filled with antiques, theatre, and travel...
Filled with children, grand children, and great-grandchildren...
Filled with a helping hand for the needy and those who suffer...
Filled with respect and honor for the Earth our Mother.

My Grandma...
My Grandpa called her mouse.

But she is beauty...
And she is her word...
She is a river...
And she is a bird.

My Grandma...
My Grandpa called her mouse.

But she is joy...
And she is day...
She is love...
And she is her four great-granddaughters at play.

My Grandma...
My Grandpa called her mouse.

But she is a child...
And she is a woman.
She is depth and understanding...
And she is wisdom.

My Grandma...
My Grandpa called her mouse.

And she is 90 years old today...

But she is us...
Her friends and family.

And she is still a king and still a clown...
Still an inspiration and still profound...

And this is only her beginning.
