how has this air i taste,
taste sweeter than before
and when did i begin
to need it ever more?

why does this heart beat so
faster still, than before
when your eyes find mine
i see nothing more...

how odd this feeling is
that i burden deep inside
buried so well beneath
it's a secret that i hide

trouble, best kept silent
a secret kept, well and true
perhaps someday we will share
me, the dark and the light, you
