Coldness comes into this world of mine
shattered dreams and sands of time
reflections of a past so long ago
flood the waters that once were low
beautiful sounds fill my ears
bringing with them warming tears

The cold draft of life whips into my soul
with so much and so little left to go
i look for shelter; i look for safety
from this cold that envelopes me
finding only the footprints i left behind
with memories of warmer times

Further and further; forward i stride
with nothing left but anguished pride
it's then i fall to my weathered knees
victim of the bitter cold breeze
surely this is where it ends
so far, from where i began

Hmm...I never commented on this. There are some excellent lines in this. They drip with...wistfulness? Thinking of how things have turned out? and I love the ending.

You reach out and pull your reader in, a style that envokes your reader to looker deeper within themselves..a sign of pen in touch with much more than the world in view...
