The lights were….
                                                        merciless
                                                                 and
                                                                      bright

e x p o s i n g

every fault/fault/fault
every facet/facet/facet

frost
spread
inside
     out
         to
           my
              [clammy]
                  hands

fear.
                                                                                  utter an unwanted note
                                                                                    sing an unwritten word

but-
a-hem, a-hem, a-hem….

the music played itself
melody (flow)

   p
     i
        l
           l
              s
                                                                         from my lips
whisper
(no more pain)

                                 as I lost
                                                 myself

 last.
