I find it hard to understand
Why yesterday you held my hand
Today your eyes cannot meet mine
Tomorrow you'll leave me behind

I hold my breath, try not to cry
Try not to dwell on reasons why
I try to think it's in my head
But it's too late, our love is dead

So here we sit, awkward and quiet
I'm trying my best to deny it
But the truth won't go away
This just can't last another day

I always get treated like dirt
I'm sick of always getting hurt
So settle down and watch me die
From me to you, my last goodbye

Love's just a 4-letter word, Laura. So sad, but oh, so good. May I hold your hand? ~Shane~
