So many times I've come to this time in my life
when everything comes down to
do or die

In the beginning
when innocence was still my youth
the snowflakes drifted in gentle winds across my face
it was understood then what i must do
the autumn leaves fell from trees in the dying of their time
the time had come to
do or die
and did i?
summer skies shed warm light upon my back, so I layed under the trees for shade
I fell asleep then
I had a dream then
And it was understood then what i must do
spring blossems opened and spread life across the land with heaving breaths of air
and I let the wind push against me, so as to prove I would not budge.
I knew my dreams then. I took my stand then.
birds sang joyously in the puddles left from may showers
and critters skittered up the trees that shown so green, much too long ago...
So here I stand
So much time passed by
The time has come to
do or die.
And will I?...

Hope is a rare comodity in these difficult times and life is full of crossroads. Your poem reminds me of what it was like to be hopeful and strong, you must be young. They say it's not the age, but the mileage, where you've been, what you've seen.

You come to a point where you wonder if you've seen too much to make it back, to find your way to the man you were. Guard your eyes and your heart my friend. I suppose regardless of your efforts there will be pain, never lose hope.

Uplifting write - coming from indecision to decisiveness - such an inspirational poem that i want to go and shout "Wales forever" off the nearest mountain. I feel so patriotic after this - thank you.
