Digital promises ringing hollow
And broken hearts
Labeled with identification numbers
Just in case they are lost in the factory
And bottles of emotion
Sent in the mail
Packaged with foam inserts
And wrapped in brown tape
Cocaine laced with fantasies
Stuck in black leather organizers
That come with lifetime garantees
Up to six months....
Lifetime garantees up to six months.
But who the hell reads fine print anyway

Very well expressed sentiments! Six months does seem to be the magic number, doesn't it? Thanks for all of your generous comments on my work - off to read more of yours now.

Good old fine print. The exscuse for why nothing is as it is portrayed by the world. Understanding this life would be easy, if life were more than a dream interpretted by each and every creature in their own way.
