I drink my coffee french pressed, Bodum style
Wear my diamonds in the daylight with a smile
I have high expectations and higher dreams
And yet know life is never what it seems
I know I could lose my ‘things’ at any time
But I’d still make margaritas from the lime
I am basking in my blessings undeserved
Holding on to all my dignity unnerved
I don’t have concern for social classes
Or live within a world of elite fascists
I strive to be the very best at what I do
And seek out every possible point of view
I search the finer things in life for my enjoyment
And try to live each second in the moment
I’ve seen that life is hard from every side
But no matter where I stand I’ll never hide
I believe that middle class means never trying
To live beyond the fact that we’re all dying
So if you’re out living a dream, a hope, desire
Then your never middle class, but so much higher
