a vanishing light
fades into horizons past
the day has been set
with drawn fears
in painted horror

I rise in repatitious manner
the pain now gone
so free in the night
darkness bringing inspiration

internal carvings marking so deep
a craft of inner pull
for the shadows don't dance in the dark
the shadows won't follow me here
with only myself to believe in
and follow a path unseen
this risk cannot be taken in light
because shadows won't dance at night
attached musty smog
the chains have fallen
behind the horizons past
to help me find my own

terror glides in thin airs triumph
but alone this journey stands

before the light
one last swift move
never would have you seen it comming
i had somthing to prove

you never wanted this to stay
you never saw this day
you never loved this decay
you never believed i would lay

down your life
and end my strife
with one last cry
you never gave me a try
and now your dead
this was the end

for shadows don't dance at night
shadows will not find you here
not anymore
not underground
not in your eternal night

The last stanza is simply spectacular. Great write. -Glass
