and as i stand outside your door,
just a little nervous in the starglow,
fireflies bring erratic flametouch to darkness
and my anticipation rivals their burning.

i have waited such a long time
for this moment.
i've brought you a present.
i love it
but i'll share.

i'm hoping it will touch your heart.

the moon casts a gentle luminance -
such beauty -
and i catch my breath
just a little.

my blade glitters silverbright
and your skin is so soft.

..this was so softly illustrated to be so sharp and almost, dare I say it, unnerving..the end line is what did it for me..I held my breath for the whole of this..delicate hands sculpt the strongest images. This is stellar.

I was going to gag (being cynical & spitefully unlovalble) until I read the end. Deliciously evil. (the present) "I hope it will touch your heart" - so very un-divine.

I also must mention that " silverbright " is a lovely combination...Which I often find in a lot of your work. It is nice to read you again. Often you leave me crippled.

I just wonder if it is a sin to indulge in such poetry today. ;) You always know how to strike a cord..Something near and dear to my own work. A female me maybe? Maybe not. Love it. Change nothing.

...starglow, flametouch, silverbright... I love the imagery, how your descriptions fit the style to make everything luminous and tightly wound. Very beautiful.

"fireflies bring erratic flametouch to darkness" Like a steely blade in a silken sheath, it's hard to see what the truth is made of; a serpent's smile; the shadow under the door. There is something on the edge of horror creeping behind the moon's lumina

... moon's luminance, here, make's me just a little nervous. Well written; I can feel the crush of gentle poetry heavy in the 'silverbright' of your poetic genious.

I loved this, purr. The unsettling undertone and deceptive style is beautifully distinguished. The misleading illusion is gently haunting and the last line was exquisite- Wonderfully memorbale. Your works possess such a unique feel. Outstanding.

that was really nice. i liked how you sort of give the illusion of something else...but i had a feeling what it was. good job.

This really reminded me of a poem I once read by Carol Anne Duffy called 'Lovesick'.. though, I feel like this has a slightly different.. edge to it. Anyway, I loved this.. truly wonderful

dang! I'm so curious now...I searched on Google for this but can't find that specific piece, although I found other Duffy works - who I hadn't heard of before, so...new writer discovery for me! :)
